Proyecto Mama Q'ota

Global Scholars students created Proyecto Mama Q’ota after visiting Lake Uru Uru and learning from the Indigenous communities protecting it. In partnership with Uru Uru Team, the project focuses on developing a community-owned recycling system led by Indigenous women and youth, restoring native totora plants that help remove pollutants from the water, expanding environmental education, and creating opportunities for local youth and families.​
