PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Edina Rotary Global Scholar Program is a three-year program in which students develop global competency skills that enhance college, career, and civic readiness post-graduation.  This program is sponsored by the Edina Education Fund and the Rotary Club of Edina & Rotary Club of Edina / Morningside.


This program will encourage and inspire Edina students to prepare for global careers through depth of study, community partnerships, mentoring, peer collaboration, cultural experience, and innovation. This program is intended to begin the sophomore year and continue through their senior year but can be completed in fewer years.

The mission of the Edina Rotary Global Scholar program is to encourage and inspire Edina students to prepare for global careers through depth of study, community partnerships, mentoring, peer collaboration, cultural experience, and innovation.

Goals of the program include:

  • Foster a sense of global citizenship,  strengthen United States’ relationships abroad and promote cross-cultural collaboration.

  • Engage in a capstone experience that addresses a global issue in an academic area of concentration, incorporates global dialogue, and leads to an actionable outcome.

  • Develop the knowledge, skills, and disposition necessary to engage with the global marketplace.
